Entrants must demonstrate strong evidence of how their success has promoted Angus locally, nationally or internationally.
Businesses must demonstrate quantifiable evidence of growth and success; specifically % increase in turnover, employee numbers and examples of innovation in either products, support structure or working practices.
Ambassador of the DecadeThis unique decade of achievement award is presented in recognition of outstanding contribution to the reputation of the county during the past 10 years; generating a sustained and positive profile for Angus, raising national and international awareness.
Ambassador of the YearPresented to the person or organisation that has been an outstanding ambassador for the county during 2007/08. Through their achievements and actions they epitomise the spirit and passion of Angus Ahead, raising awareness of the county's strengths and opportunities at home or abroad.
Business Ambassador – Entrepreneurial Angus Award
This award recognises companies of any size and across any sector that have demonstrated innovation, ambition & enterprise that significantly contributes to the county's economic growth and promotes a culture of leadership, quality and pride.
Cultural Ambassador – Creative Angus Award
Sponsored by: TayrootsAn award for the people or organisations that actively encourage and promote the distinct culture and heritage of Angus, through theatre, literature, art, photography, dance, music or film.
Community Ambassador – Pride of Angus Award
This award celebrates the people, businesses or organisations that are inspiring, enabling and promoting achievement, confidence and pride in our communities. Through this award we recognise those working collectively to build stronger and more prosperous communities.
International Ambassador- GoAhead Angus Award
The international activities and achievement of our people, groups or businesses are recognised in this award, rewarding
those who are creating global awareness of the county's
strengths, skills and opportunities.
Tourism Ambassador – Welcome Angus Award
This award celebrates the contribution tourism makes to the economy and profile of the county. It is open to groups or businesses that offer a high quality tourism product – events and festivals, visitor attractions, golf, outdoor activities - that bring visitors into the county
Youth Ambassador – Aspiring Youth Award
This award recognises of the county's young people (aged 25yrs and under) who, through their achievement and ambition, have the potential to shape the future of Angus and by example are an inspiration to their peers.
