For the past decade the Angus Ambassador Awards have celebrated the outstanding achievements and ambition of the county - its businesses, its vibrant communities and its aspiring young people.
The pride and passion we have for Angus has inspired success and is enhancing the county's reputation as a first class destination for enterprise, tourism and culture.
To mark this auspicious 10th anniversary, the 2008 Ambassador Awards will showcase the pride of Angus with a unique accolade - a Decade of Achievement Award for sustained and significant promotion of the county during the past 10 years.
We will also celebrate the success stories of 2008, choosing an Ambassador of the Year and a further six award winners for business, community, culture, international, tourism and youth.

The Ambassador of the Year will receive a specially commissioned trophy. The winners of the other categories will receive an Angus Ambassador Award. The winner of the Youth Ambassador category will receive an Ambassador Award + £300 and the two runners-up will each receive £100.
The finalists and their partners will be our guests at the Gala Award Ceremony on Friday 28 November 2008. As chair of the Angus Ahead Champions, the Provost of Angus will host this glittering occasion at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel, when the celebrity comperé will announce the winners.
