Angus Council Sports Development Team, in association with Angus Ahead, will be celebrating the achievements of the county's sporting stars at their annual sports awards ceremony, taking place in the Reid Hall, Forfar, on Tuesday 6th March 2012.
This will be the 16th annual awards ceremony and we hope to see as many nominations as possible across a wide range of sporting activities.

Listed below are the six award categories and the sponsor for each category.
This award aims to recognise the achievements of a top sports performer in 2011. This includes performers that compete on paralympic and elite levels. (Aged 18 and over.)

This award aims to recognise the achievements of a top junior sports performer in 2011. (Not reached 18 years of age by 31 December 2011)

This award aims to recognise the achievements and commitment of a sports coach in 2011. This award applies to coaches at all levels.

This award aims to recognise the achievements and commitment of a sports team/group in 2011. This award applies to sports teams/groups at all levels.

This award aims to recognise an individual with a physical, sensory or learning disability who took part in sporting competition in 2011.This award will only consider nominations for people below paralympic and elite levels.

This award aims to recognise someone who has made an outstanding contribution to sport in Angus in 2011 as an administrator, official, coach or helper over a number of years.
