About the Champions Fund

Do you fly the flag for Angus locally, nationally or internationally?

The Angus Ahead Champions Fund awards £250 each month to people who need that little extra help is actively promoting Angus.

You could be heading overseas to represent Angus in a Championship, or playing in national competitions, attending an exhibition or showcasing just what Angus has to offer visitors and residents - just as long as you are seen to be outward looking and meeting any of the four Angus Ahead initiatives:

• Encouraging civic pride
• Maximising tourism
• Promoting distinct heritage and culture
• Increasing investment.

All you have to do is apply in writing to Angus Champions Fund, County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar, DD8 3WD by the last day of the month, saying in no more that 300 words just how you promote your county and what difference this money will make to you.

The judging panel is made up of members of the Angus Ahead Champions, the Arbroath Herald and Angus County Press group.

Angus Ahead is our area marketing campaign that involves all those who live and work in the county and is led by a Champions Group - leaders from across business, tourism, youth and community in Angus.
