Balmashanner House, a Grade B Listed 18th century country home, offers quality family Bed & Breakfast accommodation for tourists and business people on the outskirts of Forfar.

Our beautiful but central location will suit leisure, business, anglers, walkers, cyclists, shooting, and wildlife guests alike, we also accept dogs for a small fee.

There are many places to walk your dogs within walking distance of our property off the main road allowing you to enjoy this beautiful countryside without any interruption of traffic.

Keen golfers have access to the many golf courses including Carnoustie, St Andrews, and locally there is the Forfar, Arbroath, Montrose, Brechin, Edzell, Kirriemuir, Letham Grange Golf Clubs who accept day membership, there is also a golf driving range only a 10 minute drive from us.

We are only 30 minutes away from Guthrie Castle, 15 minutes from Kinnettles House if you are attending a wedding or function, and only 15 minutes away from Glamis Castle.

Aberdeen is 45 minutes away, and Glasgow and Edinburgh are less than 2 hours drive. Local towns include Kirriemuir (home of JM Barrie - author of 'Peter Pan'), Dundee and Perth.

Locally there are plenty of amenities which are only 5 minutes from Balmashanner.
