Situated in the centre of Montrose, the George Hotel is a Georgian sandstone building, built in 1814.

The hotel boasts beautiful quiet gardens to the rear of the hotel, used for wedding receptions and garden parties.

The George Hotel is a family owned hotel, boasting a superb 'a la carte' restaurant, and a warm and friendly bar/lounge.

This is the perfect location for a stay in the Highlands - quiet but within striking distance of Aberdeen and Dundee, and the Grampians. The facilities for walking, angling, golfing, and sight seeing in the area are exceptional, with short breaks and organised golf holidays a speciality.

All 24 bedrooms in the George are en-suite, and all have satellite T.V. with free movie and sports channels, direct-dial phone , tea/coffee making facilities, and the prices include a traditional English breakfast.

The hotel also boats one of the best function suites in the area, available for weddings, conventions, exhibitions and other functions, and can cater for up to 120 people.
