Muirhouses Farm B&B

Set amidst the beautiful Angus countryside, close to the Cairngorm National Park, Muirhouses is a livestock and arable farm offering a truly rural location, whilst also being near the A90 road (Edinburgh-Aberdeen) both of which can be reached in under an hour and a half.

The accommodation comprises three well presented bedrooms, one double, one twin and one spacious family room. two of the rooms are en-suite and the third has a private bathroom. All rooms have hospitaility trays, hair dryer, toiletries, fresh flowers and colour television.

There is a guest lounge with a fridge for storing drinks and food, and a large mature garden with summer house and barbeque which guests are welcome to use.

A full Scottish or continental breakfast is served in the dining room with freshly home-baked bread and oatcakes, home-made preserves, eggs from a neighbour's farm and bacon and sausages from the local butcher - simply delicious.

There is also stabling available for guests wishing to bring their horse. The nearby Equestrian centre has excellent indoor and outdoor jumps and hacks.

For the golfing enthusiast, staying in the 'Golf Course' room gives stunning views of the Kirriemuir Golf Course only a field's breadth away.

Anglers are most welcome too with the river South Esk running nearby - local estate office can help with information.

RSPB Kinnordy loch is only a few minutes away where you can (in season) watch the Ospreys feed. The Caenlochan nature reserve is also ideal for nature lovers.

A visit to Glamis Castle is, of course, a must when staying and the Angus Folk museum is a hidden gem.

Angus is a beautiful part of Scotland with everything you could ever wish for right on your doorstep and with the home-from-home hospitality you'll recieve at Muirhouses, you're sure to have a stay to remember.
