You can be assured of a warm Scottish welcome at Newton of Fothringham, in the County of Angus. Our comfortable home is on a working arable and livestock farm of approximately 600 acres.

Newly accredited in the Spring of 2007 by the Scottish Tourist Board, VisitScotland, our B & B has achieved a very good 3 star rating. We look forward to inviting you into our family home.Double Room

All our sunny South facing, large ground floor rooms come complete with full tea & coffee making facilities, remote controlled colour LCD digital television, DVD, radio alarm clock, electric shaver socket, ironing facilities, hairdryer, trouser press and comfortable seating areas. A selection of books and magazines are also available for your added Double Roomenjoyment.

Our charming double room, with ensuite shower room, was completed in the Spring of 2007 and is smartly decorated in a relaxed country style.

Our family room, with private bathroom, comprises of one double & one single bed. This provides the flexibiFamily Roomlity to accommodate double, twin or family occupancy. We also have a cot available by request. Decorated to a high standard at the beginning of 2007, this large room has a fresh and contemporary feel.

We offer a full traditional hearty Scottish or continental breakfast, cooked to your requirements, in our dramatic, red and gold dining room. Included is a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt & cereals. Dining Room

Newton Farmhouse lies in a peaceful rural location, only 2 miles from the A90 (the main Aberdeen to Edinburgh road) in the County of Angus.

We are on Fothringham Estate near the village of Inverarity, 7 miles North of Dundee and 6 miles South of Forfar. The farmhouse’s central location means it is well placed to enjoy many activities. These include shopping, hill-walking in the Angus Glens, golfing with 32 courses in the View from the Farmhousesurrounding area, fishing, shooting, cycling and there are many castles to explore including Glamis Castle (5 miles) and JM Barrie's birthplace at Kirriemuir (10 miles).

The market town of Forfar is also lucky enough to have a wide choice of eating establishments to suit a range of tastes and budget.

Directions From Aberdeen: Travel approximately 4 miles South of Forfar on the A90. Exit A90 left at “Happas” sign. We are the 3rd farm road on the left, approximately 2 miles.

F3 Star B&B Ratingrom Dundee: Travel approximately 5 miles North from Dundee on the A90. Watch for signage for Kirriemuir/Petterden & Nether Finlarg. This will give you some warning of our turning. Exit A90 right at “Happas” sign. We are the 3rd farm road on the left, approximately 2 miles.

From Glamis: take the A928 towards Dundee. On reaching the A90 turn left and we are the first exit off the A90 to the right at “Happas.” We are the 3rd farm road on the left, approximately 2 miles.
