Sugar and Spice Tearoom and Restaurant

Our fully licensed tea room is open 7 days a week, where you can enjoy a step back in time and where relaxation - dear customer - is the key ingredient!
In fact, Stress? ...the word doesn't even exist here at Sugar & Spice!
We pride ourselves in serving quality food using locally sourced fresh produce. And the freshest of fish and smokies from M & M Smith.
Served by our pretty maids, dressed in their old fashioned hats and pinnies. We serve a large selection of Teas, Coffees, Snacks and Fantastic Home Baking, Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon Cream Teas. You're bound to find something to tickle your tastebuds, and we aim to please.
We have 5 areas in which you can relax and enjoy your surroundings: There is Bistro Seating at the entrance to Sugar & Spice - A small Area at the Window in the sweetie shop - Then we have the Main Tea Room - Also a Conservatory Area - And an Enclosed Decking area at the rear of the premises.

After 5.00pm our tea room turns into a restaurant where the quaint maids are transformed into their evening attire, wearing their ancient Smith tartan ties which is the owners family plaid.
We serve traditional high teas which consists of tea and toast, a main meal and a selection of homemade scones and cakes made by our resident baker. If you prefer there is also a dinner/pre theater menu which is a 2 or 3 course set menu.
As we are fully licensed and a stones throw from the Webster Theatre it makes Sugar and Spice the ideal venue for pre-theatre meals, parties, or just a get together.
We also do special menus for occasions such as Valentines, Mothers Day & Fathers Day, Burns Night and Pre Christmas Parties.
