Angus Glens Walking Festival 2012

The 2012 event will be the 10th Festival and will take place from 31 May to 3 June.

Since the very first walking festival in 2003, walkers having been coming back to Angus year after year to enjoy everything the area has to offer. From the breathtaking landscapes of the glens to impressive coastal views, Angus is the perfect backdrop for a walking holiday.

Angus Glens Walking Festival Programme

Experienced mountain leaders, who have wide ranging local knowledge, guide each walk, accompanied by Countryside Rangers, Estate Managers and Ecologists who are on hand to share their knowledge of local history and wildlife, and can answer any questions you have. Download the 2012 programme.

As well as the wide variety of walks available on each day of the festival, walkers can also join in the various evening events that are held.  The 2011 evening events were:

  • A Walkers Welcome Quiz Night & Buffet
  • A Taste of Angus evening, including local produce buffet, dancing display and whisky demonstration/tasting. 
  • The old-favourite Saturday night ceilidh
