Caledonian Railway Diesel Saturdays

Our Popular 'Diesel Gala' Returns!

*Get a driver's eye view with a £5 cab ride!

Travel back to the 1960s and 1970s with the Caledonian Railway.

photo of a diesel trainThe Caledonian Railway is going retro for three summer Saturdays.

To help visitors experience what it was like to travel during these times, we're bringing the 1960s and1970s back to the Caledonian Railway for three special Saturdays in August.

Ride in the carriages or "cab it*" with the driver. This event is great for anyone who remembers or has an interest in rail travel in years gone by.

*Cab ride ticket £5. Numbers are limited and on a first come, first served basis. The cab ride ticket is only valid in conjunction with a valid travel ticket from the ticket office. £5 is for a one way journey of the four mile line. We reserve the right to refuse cab passengers without reason.
