The Tannahill Weavers are one of Scotland's premier Folk Bands. Their diverse repertoire spans the centuries with fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs and original ballads.
The Band over the years have developed a unique combination of traditional melodies, driving rhythmic accompaniment and rich vocals which make their performances unforgettable.
The achievements of the Tannahill Weavers as international trailblazers for Scottish Music received recognition at the 2011 Scottish Trad Music Awards, when the Band were adopted into the Scottish Folk Music Hall of Fame.
The current members of the Band are Roy Gullane on guitar and vocals, Phil Smillie on flute, bodhran and vocals, John Martin on fiddle and vocals, and Colin Melville on highland bagpipes, Scottish small pipes and tin whistles. Roy Gullane and Phil Smillie are founder members of the Band. Past members of the Band include Dougie MacLean.
