A hill of SE Angus, Cambustane Hill rises to 172m (564 feet) a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south-east of Craigton and 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Carnoustie.
Two monuments crown this hill; the Panmure Testimonial, a tall column which can be seen for miles around, and Camus's Cross, which is said to mark the spot where the Danish general Camus was killed and then buried in 1010.
