Dunnichen Hill

A hill of Central Angus, Dunnichen Hill rises to a height of 233m (764 feet) a mile (1.5 km) west of Letham. It is the site of the Battle of Nechtansmere of 685 AD, where Elfrith of Northumbria was defeated by the Picts and which resulted in the cessation of Anglian raids in the area.
