Established in 1895, the Scottish Building Federation is the principal and only purely Scottish employers’ federation, representing the interest of the construction industry – an industry which is the largest source of private investment in Scotland.

With over 100 years of industry experience, the Scottish Building Federation exists to advance the interests of the building industry as a whole and to provide a range of tangible and practical support services which are of interest and benefit to member firms whether small single trade firms or major regional and national contractors.

The Scottish Building Federation guarantees performance, professionalism and quality within the industry in Scotland and assures that all standards are being adhered to.

We exist to raise awareness of the importance of the construction industry for a smart, successful and confident Scotland and raising industry standards is at the heart of Scottish Building Federation.
