The Road Train, at the Arbroath harbour

The Road Train operates on a designated route through Arbroath for a part of the year (April to September).

The train is really a road vehicle which has 2 carriages capable of carrying 28-32 passengers.

Wheelchair access is available to one carriage only.

The train operates on a circular route going from the West Links Outdoor Recreation area, via Keptie Pond, the Railway Station, the Harbour, Arbroath Abbey Visitor Centre and back again to the West Links Outdoor Recreation area.

A timetable and route map is posted at the Information Point beside the Pavilion West Links as well as at each train stop along the route.
  

Does the Road Train run anywhere else apart from Arbroath
Normally it only runs in Arbroath. However, it is possible to hire it for special events at other locations. Details can be discussed by contacting Mr. Stuart Brennan of Angus Council at 01307 461460.
