Ardestie Earth House

Located 1 mile (1.5 km) north of Monifieth in Angus, the Ardestie Earth House is a curved underground structure, 80 feet (24m) in length, that was once the cellar to a round house.

Dating from the Iron Age, it is now under the stewardship of Historic Scotland.

A similar structure exists at nearby Carlungie.
