A bridge over the River South Esk in East Angus, the Bridge of Dun lies south of the hamlet of the same name, 4 miles (6.5 km) west of Montrose.
The bridge was constructed in 1787 by Alexander Stevens and comprises three grand stone arches, which convey a minor road over the South Esk just upstream of its entry into the Montrose Basin.
This elegant piece of Neo-Classical architecture features buttresses which are topped by refuges, supported on slender columns, that allow pedestrians to escape the flow of traffic.
