Monifieth Ashludie Golf Course

The shorter Ashludie Course, next door to the Medal, is an entertaining, if quite short, venue, but a pleasurable course to play nevertheless. With a day package that includes food and a round on either of the Monifieth Courses, the Ashludie is ideal for a warm-up.

A par 66 of 5,123 yards, there are no par fives but several very good par fours, and four par threes. James Braid designed the course and, despite its short stature, it can be quite challenging.

The holes to watch out for are the 13th playing to a plateau green with the second shot required to hold the green, and the 15th, a dog-leg par four turning left where good positioning of the drive is essential.

The Ashludie benefits from the good greenkeeping skills applied to the Medal Course, and visitors will find it in good order with true and testing greens.
