Pleasant surroundings and safe access to placid water make Monikie Country Park the perfect environment for watersports.

Visitors can enjoy a range of watersports from May to September including windsurfing, kayaking, and sailing.

There is a wide range of facilities and services for hire to enable everyone, from the seasoned enthusiast to the absolute beginner, to enjoy the range of watersports available.

Tuition is available in single sessions (1-2 hours) or in block bookings of six lessons. Two or four day Adventure Courses can also be booked with some offering tasters of a variety of watersports. It is recommended that all beginners take advantage of the courses on offer before hiring equipment.

Windsurfing equipment, kayaks and sailing dinghies are available for hire with rowing boats available at weekends and in the afternoons during school holidays. Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and cagoules can also be hired.

Visitors who have their own crafts can apply for a permit and take advantage of Monikie's launch and storage facilities which are chargeable on a daily or seasonal basis.

Important Information:

All watersport users must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres.
Anyone wishing to hire windsurfing equipment, kayaks or sailing dinghies must book in advance to ensure availability. Tuition must be booked in advance.
Swimming is not permitted at Monikie Country Park.
