The 3 mile circuit of Forfar Loch takes you through a wildlife nature reserve and country park. Many birds can be seen especially waterfowl, and the Country Park Visitor Centre is well worth a visit.
- Turn sharp left at the front door of Lochside Leisure Centre entrance through car park and follow narrow tarred footpath across park.
- At end of footpath, TL onto narrow tarred road.
- Follow this road right up to west end of loch at bypass. The road swings round to follow the end of the loch. Cross a small bridge and there is a choice of the following: the rough road back to the caravan site or branch left onto a path through the trees eventually joining up with the road back to the caravan site.
- Care should be taken on this route as it is well used by joggers and people walking dogs.
