Loch Brandy
Strenuous;Under 12km;Nature/Country route

At the rear of the Clova Hotel car park, you will find the start of the path up to the loch.  There is a fairly strenuous initial climb, but you will be rewarded with some spectacular views as you climb.  Once you have had a chance to look at the loch, you should return by the same route.  This loch is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with a rare dragonfly living in the shallow pools and rare mosses growing on the lochside and cliffs.  Please keep to the path to minimise damage to the plant life.  (There is a path that continues round the top of Brandy Corrie, but this is a very strenuous climb, which should not be undertaken unless you are experienced and properly equipped).
