Below are details of some utilities suppliers - though this list is by no means exhaustive.

NON DOMESTIC RATES

Non-domestic rates are payable on all commercial properties. The amount payable is calculated as a percentage of the property's rateable value – a price allocated to by the Regional Assessor, reflecting the likely annual rental the property would achieve at going market rates. Rateable values for individual premises can be found at: http://www.saa.gov.uk/.

Non-domestic rates are collected by Angus Council on behalf of the Scottish Government.

A discount of up to 100% on rates payablemay be available via the Small Business Bonus Scheme (see http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Government/local-government/17999/11199/Scheme). It is the responsibility of businesses to apply for this, and leaflets and application forms can be obtained from Angus Council's Finance Division.
