Business Newtyle Sidlaw

Lying to the north of Dundee ('City of Discovery'), the Newtyle and Sidlaws area, with 3,150 households, is a rural area made up of a spread of small villages.

This beautiful fertile land, with stunning views from its Sidlaw Hills hosts, is mainly a farming community, but as it is an ideal location for walking, fishing and golfing, it seeks to further develop its tourism offering and travel links.

Located in the area is the Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort, which is a superb facility for leisure activities, as is the nearby Auchterhouse Country Sports. These two companies, combined with the recent progress of the Newtyle Path Network and the Sidlaws Paths Network, have helped develop the area's reputation for excellent outdoor recreation facilities. These tourism services, combined with local holiday accommodation, are a means of generating income for the local area to attract earnings from commuters and tourists.
