Angus College

Angus College offers a broad spectrum of further education courses to Higher National Diploma level and is involved in Open Learning programmes in production for the oil industry.


RGIT Montrose

RGIT Montrose provides speciality oil industry safety training and Advanced Drilling International provide drilling and production training. Offshore standby vessel training is conducted at Montrose harbour and Liberty Occupational Health train offshore medics at Arbroath.


Angus Training Group

Angus Training Group offer training for engineering from traditional skills to computer-aided production and design.


Angus Council Training Services

Angus Council Training Services (ACTS) manages the Skillseekers programme in the Angus area, which is designed to assist young people gain nationally-recognised vocational qualifications whilst gaining valuable work experience and which provides financial and administrative support to employers. Similar programmes for adults are Training For Work and New Deal and ACTS will assist eligible adults and local employers in order to meet local recruitment and training needs. ACTS can offer advice and assist with recruitment and training if required. ACTS can also offer a range of Information Technology training designed to meet the individual needs of local businesses.

The Angus Education Business Partnership builds upon links with local companies, to prepare pupils for the challenges of the modern workplace and the Angus Engineering Education Partnership works towards the generation of links and improvement of communication between local engineering businesses and the education sector.
