External Funding

The Angus Council External Funding Team Assist both Council departments and voluntary groups with funding from a variety of sources, including European Structural Funds, Lottery distributors and Trusts.

We can support applicants:

• By visiting groups/depts to discuss their funding requirements and offering suggestions on funders that are more likely to assist them
• By looking over draft application forms and giving suggestions on possible improvements
• By acting as liaison point with funders for Council led applications, assisting with the application, approval and claim process
• Supporting applicants with record keeping and monitoring advice and coordinating response to EU, Scottish Government or other audit visits

Disseminating information on funding sources and raising awareness of opportunities:

• By tracking new sources of grants, changes to existing funding sources and alerting groups on relevant forthcoming deadlines
• By organising events such as funding training seminars and funding fairs
• By providing the latest information about grants in our monthly e-newsletter – 'Angus Funding News'
• Providing a funding website for Angus www.angus4community.com
