What is the Angus Reputable Trader Scheme?

The Angus Reputable Trader Scheme (ARTS) was set up by Angus Council, with the help of the Federation of Small Businesses and Tayside Police. The aim of the project is to achieve the highest standard of commercial performance by businesses located in the region of Angus.

 

How Does the Scheme Work?

The ARTS project aims to give public recognition to those firms who trade fairly, and to marginalise the type of companies and individuals that give sole traders, SMEs (Small to Medium Size Businesses) and the business sector as a whole, a poor reputation.

In practical terms, this will be realised by compiling a list of firms in Angus who have been reviewed by the Trading Standards Service. So when consumers need the services of a trader, they can look first at the Angus Reputable Trader Scheme, and then choose the trader that they need from the approved list.
