If you are a child, adult or older person with disabilities, mental health problems or learning disabilities, you will find services to support your needs in Angus.
Angus Council's Community Occupational Therapy Service helps children, adults and older people with disabilities maintain as much independence and mobility as possible in their own home. Teams are based within each Social Work and Health locality office and can be contacted at:

The Angus Council Homecare Service helps people with disabilities that need help to live independently at home. The service offers those in need practical domestic help, such as housework, shopping, collecting pensions, making beds and preparing food.
Subject to assessment, personal care may also be provided, such as bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, getting in and out of bed, continence management, assistance with eating and special diets.

Wirren House is a residential home, providing 24 hour care to adults with learning disabilities. Situated in Montrose, this well-presented home is on one level and caters for 19 permanent residents, plus short term and respite facilities for two people. The team of staff at Wirren House are experienced in caring for people with learning disabilities and endeavour to support and promote residents' independence, skill development and assessed need.
