Youth Services in Angus

In Angus, we recognise that young people are our future, and have an important role in the community. Young people account for around 20% of Angus' population and make a significant contribution to their families, schools and communities.

The Angus Young Scot Card is a youth citizens' "multifunctional" card that offers local and national discount in shops and also doubles as a membership card to the libraries and leisure centres in Angus. This card is available to young people aged between 12 and 25, free to those under 18 living or attending school in Angus.

The card offers access to products and services at discounted rates, access to the cashless school meals system and is accredited to the national "Proof of Age Standard Scheme".

Angus offers excellent educational services, youth work and youth activities, training opportunities, parenting initiatives and youth programmes.

Young Scot offers a national forum for young people in Scotland, keeping youth up-to-date about events and activities in their area and nationally. It also offers online advice to young people about all manner of issues affecting them in their formative years.
