Angus Council works in partnership with Tayside Police, Tayside Fire Brigade, the National Health Service and various departments such as Education, Social Work, Housing and Recreation Services to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the people of Angus.
In the case of an emergency, dial 999 for police, ambulance or fire brigade.
Tayside Police and Angus Care and Repair have formed a partnership to provide a safety and security initiative for the older, disabled and vulnerable people of Angus - the Angus Safe As Houses Scheme. The Safe as Houses pack contains a selection of safety and security measures that can be supplied and fitted free of charge for users of the service.
Angus Community Alarm Service helps people to live independently at home, providing the means by which they can access assistance any time day or night. Following an alarm call, help will take the form of giving reassurance and contacting a key holder. It may also be necessary to contact a GP or emergency service. This service has teams of carers on duty throughout Angus and carers are available to provide assistance.
