NHS Tayside provides exemplary healthcare services across Angus. Local health centres are situated in all of Angus’ main towns, and General Practitioner services cover the whole region.
A centralised, modern Community Care Centre, located in Forfar has recently opened. This dynamic community resource facility is a multi-million pound development encompassing all aspects of care, NHS services and a residential facility. Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre opened in 2005. Main Reception can be called on 01307 475221. Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre is a joint venture between NHS Tayside, Angus Council and the voluntary sector, an exciting and adventurous joint venture between health and social care in Angus.
Tayside Centre for General Practice and Ninewells Hospital are nearby in Dundee. Ninewells Hospital switchboard for all wards is 01382 818 479.
Hospital services range from family planning to breast screening, accident and emergency to general surgery, physiotherapy to cancer medicine. NHS Tayside also provides the population of Angus with centres for public health, community nursing, podiatry, dentistry, rehabilitation and therapy.
