All householders in Angus are entitled to one 240 litre capacity grey wheeled bin which should be put out at the kerbside once per week for refuse collection.
As kerbside recycling is rolled out across Angus, more households will also be provided with a green box and a green bin where appropriate.
The green box is provided for cans, glass, paper, and plastic bottles. The green bin is provided for green waste such as garden waste and raw fruit and vegetable peelings. With their new bin and box, each household will have received a leaflet with collection dates and other information about the scheme and a sticker summarising the materials collected in each container.
The grey bin may contain household waste only. No additional items are accepted and the wheeled bin should not contain any items such as masonry, car batteries, corrosive chemicals etc. For advice on the disposal of such items and other issues relating to domestic refuse collection, contact ACCESS on 08452 777 778 or email recycling@angus.gov.uk.
In order to encourage waste management and recycling each Burgh in Angus has a manned recycling centre and neighbourhood recycling points.
