Local Authority Housing

Angus Council Housing

Angus Council is committed to meeting the following targets:

  • New build mainstream housing
  • New build Local Authority sheltered accommodation
  • Modernisation of existing Local Authority property
  • Conversion of existing Local Authority property to homeless accommodation

Angus Council currently delivers a good housing management service, a strong property management service and a fair homelessness service.

The housing department's allocations policy aims to address local housing needs, giving priority to those with the greatest housing need and those whose current accommodation does not meet their needs. Local authority housing provides accommodation services for six principle groups: statutory homeless, care and support, medical, no secure tenancy, general needs and those wishing to relocate to Angus.
