In Angus, educational facilities and opportunities are provided equally to all pupils. There is no discrimination on the grounds of gender, race, origin or disability. Pupils are not excluded from any subject in the curriculum on any of the above grounds.
There are currently 68 schools in Angus. Each Primary School and Secondary School is assigned a defined zone known as a delineated area, and offers places in that school to pupils resident within that area.
Each school has a handbook that contains information about the school and is available from the school for parents of pupils at that school, or other parents who want to choose that school for their child instead of the school proposed by the Authority.
Parent Zone Scotland offers additional information to find out how well your school is doing.
Parents seeking guidance on primary and secondary education can contact Angus Council, Education Department on Tel: 08452 777 778.
