Angus is proud of its schools and its performance, and our primary schools. We are committed to the future of our children, and to the future of Angus.
The school entry date in Angus is the first day of the school session, usually mid-August. A child is of compulsory school age for primary education on the first school entry date after his of her fifth birthday.
All Primary Schools cover stages Primary 1 to Primary 7 and all schools in the Angus area are co-educational. The normal maximum class size for timetabled classes is 30 for Primary 1 to Primary 3 and 33 for Primary 4 to Primary 7.
The Angus Council website has information on Primary Schools in the area.
A full listing of Primary Schools in Angus is available online and includes a comprehensive guide to each school location, nursery facilities, the name of Head Teachers and contact information. Schools produce information handbooks for parents.
