Local Consultation

This Community Planning and Development section outlines the region’s strategic, regional and local approaches to planning at each level offering the opportunity for feedback on planned services, in order to develop strategies to best fit the needs of the town communities that they serve.

The Community Planning section introduces the Angus Community Planning Partnership, its role and its 2007-2012 strategic plan for Angus with contributions from local and regional government organisations, emergency services and voluntary groups working together, and in consultation with the local community, to make Angus a better place to live.

The Angus Council section explains its responsibility for creating strong secure communities, an enterprising workforce and sustainable development over the range of public services it delivers.

With twenty six Community Councils in Angus, each community area works to identify and communicate local needs and wishes to local authorities and bodies ensuring that the best standard of living can be pioneered at a local level. The Scottish and UK Government section focuses on nationwide strategic campaigns implemented at a local level by Angus Council and other government bodies in partnership with other organisations and the community.

The Angus Ahead in the Community section highlights the website’s purpose of promoting the area’s benefits to the local, business and international communities.
