Angus Council works to promote Scottish and UK government campaigns and support national initiatives in a community context, working together for a better, safer and stronger community.

 

Current national campaigns led by the Scottish Government, Scotland's devolved government, include:

• Healthier Scotland, raising awareness of a range of healthy living issues for the wellbeing of Scotland and its communities.
• Natural Scotland, raising awareness of the positive impact small changes we make in our lives can have on Scotland's environment.
• One Scotland, raising awareness and celebrating the cultural diversity of Scotland, challenging racist attitudes and behaviour.
• Safer Scotland, addressing the issues involved in creating a safer community by tackling areas such as drugs misuse, crime, domestic abuse, antisocial behaviour and fire safety.
• Smarter Scotland, raising awareness of initiatives to create a smarter Scotland supporting sustained productivity growth, competitiveness and prosperity.
