About Rural Development Initiatives
Formed in 2005, Rural Development Initiatives Ltd (RDI) works at the forefront of sustainable rural development, in partnership with and under contract to local and national public, private and charitable bodies across the UK and other parts of the EU in order to improve the profitability and sustainability of rural and land-based businesses.
To achieve this, RDI develops, manages and delivers a wide range of business support programmes and workforce development, training and new entrant projects and in addition, offers research and development, evaluation, assessment and consultancy services to the rural sector.
RDI's work in engaging with and supporting those in the land-based sector is widely utilised by government bodies, local authorities and Sector Skills Councils and RDI staff have extensive experience in engaging effectively with project beneficiaries and clients, be they large, public sector agencies or micro-businesses, in complex partnerships and networks or as one-to-one contacts. As a result, our projects are characterised by innovation and flexibility and have been highlighted as examples of good practice in meeting the needs of land-based businesses.
Further details of these, together with other initiatives in RDI's wide-ranging project portfolio can be found on our website at www.ruraldevelopment.org.uk.
