The Make Angus Beautiful Campaign

The Make Angus Beautiful (MAB) campaign is a volunteering project led by Volunteer Centre Angus (VCA) and the Dobromysl Foundation.

The aim of the MAB campaign is to protect and develop the environment in Angus. The mission statement of the project is 'Working together for a Greener Planet and a more Humane Society'.

With the help of partnership agencies, we work together to:

• Take action on recycling,
• Engage communities in action to protect the environment,
• Raise awareness of major environmental and recycling issues,
• Develop awareness of social inclusion and equality matters.

We are interested in finding volunteers and other organisations who would like to join us in the following MAB activities:

• Take part in the cleaning of your town or village,
• Help in promoting the Make Angus Beautiful (MAB) Project,
• Help with recycling during the big events in Angus (Arbroath Seafront Spectacular, Highland Games, SeaFest, etc),
• Networking with organisations in your town or village,
• Becoming involved in environment protection in Angus,
• Help with art competitions in Primary Schools,
• Take part in beach cleaning and planting trees in Angus.

In particular, the MAB project aims to encourage local communities and migrant workers to contribute - through volunteering - towards environmental sustainability in the Angus region.
