Phoenix Chinese News and Angus Council

Phoenix CNEIn 2007 Phoenix Television broadcast three short films about Angus, highlighting the tourism assets of the county which promotes the area as the "first choice destination for Chinese travellers". These film clips featured Angus as a tourism destination. One film focused on Glamis Castle and another on what Angus can offer golfers in "Carnoustie Country".

Phoenix TV were so impressed by the Scottish welcome that Angus had to offer that they produced another promotional film about Scotland's Tartan Day. This featured the 2008 Tartan Day Scotland International Golf Challenge which attracts over 30 Chinese golfers in April each year. This was first broadcast on Phoenix TV's "Images of Europe" travel programme in July 2008.
