Travelling to Angus

It is easy to get to Angus thanks to good road, rail and air links. The major rail and road arteries for the East of Scotland come through Angus, making it very accessible.

Travel from overseas by air - to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Glasgow International (Prestwick), and via London City Airport to Dundee.

Dundee is on the doorstep, and Angus is within 1.5 hours drive of Aberdeen, and Edinburgh. The Scottish West coast airports are slightly further, but offer great opportunities for touring through the Trossachs and Perthshire to Angus.

Arriving by sea?  Travel by sea to Rosyth from Zeebrugge with Superfast Ferries The East coast ferry port of Rosyth is within 40 miles of Angus, giving great access through Fife to visitors from the continent of Europe.

Travelling by road?

From the Central Belt of Scotland follow signs for Perth or the Tay Bridge, and onward on the A92 or A90.

From Inverness and the North, divert from Relaxing_Cyclist,_Arbroath_Harbourthe A9 at Dunkeld for Blairgowrie and then Kirriemuir, or follow signs for Coupar Angus, then Forfar. From Aberdeen, follow signs for the A90 or A92.

  • It CAN be easy being green! Angus is also an important link in the Sustrans North Sea Cycle Route and is superb cycling territory.

However you travel, and whenever you arrive - be assured there is a warm welcome awaiting you!
