Angus Glens: Visit the Angus Glens

Glen Clova - compliments of www.angusglens.co.uk

The five Angus Glens, Glen Isla, Glen Clova, Glen Prosen, Glen Lethnot and Glen Esk, Angus, reach out like the fingers of a single hand from East to West, reaching inwards to the Eastern Cairngorms. The beautiful Glen Doll extends beyond Glen Clova.

This is a land of open spaces, of wildlife and nature up close, with a great variety of indigenous species including Daubenton's Bat, Mountain Hare, Red Deer, Wild Goat, Red Squirrel, Wildcat, Black Grouse, Capercaillie, Dipper, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Ptarmigan, Red Grouse, Lapwing, Golden Eagle and the Osprey, to name but a few.

The Glens are rich in wildlife and tradition, and there are many traditional activities you can participate in, including hunting and fishing, from the many strategically placed Estates in the area. The Estates often offer accommodation, and the chance to get involved in game shooting, rough shooting, stalking, walking, horse riding and fishing.
