In the nearby Glen Isla forest there are some fine hiking trails Near Kirkton, the Glenmarkie Riding Centre and Farmhouse Health Spa offers a range of activities from pedicures to pony trekking.

There is a variety of excellent accommodation from Hotels to camping at Nether Craig, and there is always a warm welcome to visitors, from the Glen Isla Hotel with its restaurant and pub, to the Littleton of Airlie Farm Cottages.

The Highland Adventure Outdoor Activity Centre is based in the Glen and offers a range of outdoor activities and sports from walking to skiing and horse riding. The Centre offers everything for the outdoor enthusiast.
