Hillwalking
Follow in the footsteps of one of Angus's most famous sons, Sir Hugh Munro of Lindertis. Munro was brought up at the foot of the Angus hills and achieved fame by listing all the Scottish mountains over 3,000 feet (914 metres).
Angus and the Eastern Highlands have some of Scotland's finest low and high level walking on offer. The area has 14 Munro summits, which can be climbed alone or linked together to give good quality hill days to rival anywhere in the country.
Alternatively, there are low and mid level walks, suitable for all abilities, as well as some of the finest long distance trails in the country, such as the historic "Jock's Road" and "The Cateran Trail".
