Sea Kayaking
The coastline of Angus is an excellent place for sea kayaking. We have numerous secluded bays and small coves, many only accessible from the sea. There are sandy beaches, shingle beaches, craggy cliffs and many sea caves large enough to paddle into. There is an abundance of wildlife in this area from the many sea birds, such as guillemots, razorbills, puffin and terns to dolphins and even the odd whale. Sea kayaking holidays and courses are organised during the summer months along this amazing part of the coastline.
Canoeing and Kayaking
The county of Angus has many stunning lochs and rivers for paddling on or down, whether it's in a river kayak or an open boat. All grades of water are catered for in Angus; There are the slow moving meandering rivers of the local glens with beautiful mountain scenery or the grade 4 white waters down the gorge of the River North Esk near Edzell. We can offer open canoe holidays and courses as well as the British Canoe Union (BCU) star awards in this beautiful area.
Windsurfing
Visit Lunan Bay any day in summer and you will see it awash with colour from boarders and windsurfers who prefer to the wide and open bay experience. Its reputation as a place to surf has increased over the past few years as it offers some great conditions.
Gorge Walking
Get wet and have fun with this great activity. Gorge days are for all ages and abilities and take place in fantastic locations in the Angus Glens. Slide down rapids, sample the "washing machine" and go down the flume. The bravest can take the big leap into the deep pool.
