Arts and craft shops, antique dealers, specialist delicatessens, first class butchers, grocers and fishmongers will put the fun back into shopping, in a happy and relaxed atmosphere.
Local craft makers and potters, gift shops and galleries offer a plethora of lovely things to take home, and of course, Carnoustie has some excellent golf suppliers.
There are also larger gift centres such as the Angus Gateway in Monifieth to sample a selection of local gifts and produce. There is also a visitor centre to enjoy. And you can nip into Dobbies for a gardening experience.
Bid for a piece of history at regular auctions in Montrose, and elsewhere around the county. Antiques, collectables, paintings and wine alternate on the sales calendar.
