The Angus Glens Walking Festival is a four-day event offering a varied programme of walks and evening entertainment to suit all ages and abilities.

Walkers at the Rocks of SolitudeIt attracts around 400 walkers to the area. Next year's sixth Festival, will be held from Thursday 28th May to Sunday 31st May2008.

Experienced leaders will guide you through this beautiful yet little known part of Scotland and present information on the history, wildlife and culture of the area.

The Angus Glens extend from the rich lowlands (straths) towards the high mountains, which form the southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park. Glens Isla, Prosen, Clova, Doll, Lethnot and Esk will all be explored during the walking festival.

The event is based in the market town of Kirriemuir, nestling on the southern slopes of the Grampian mountains, and is perhaps best known as the birthplace of J.M. Barrie - author of the world famous Peter Pan.

Limited car parking is available at walk start and finish points and you are advised to use the festival bus service which is included in the cost of the walks.
