Walk 1: Kilbo Path, Driesh, Mayar and Corrie Fee

Length: 18km/11 miles circular              Ascent: 800m

Start: Glen Doll car park 08.45 (bus from Kirriemuir at 08.00).          Grid Ref: 283 761

Finish: Glen Doll car park 15.00 approx. Bus to Glen Clova Hotel for refreshments. (Return bus to Kirriemuir leaves at 16.00) 

 

Registration: ALL Walkers must register with the Event Centre at Kirriemuir Town Hall at least 15 minutes prior to bus departure. If you are planning to meet the bus en route or are travelling to the walk's starting point by your own transport, then you can register by phone on 07825 387330. If you do not register, you will not be permitted to join the walk.

 

About the walk: The walk climbs out of Glen Doll forest on the Kilbo Path and once on the ridge turns off to climb the Munro Driesh (947m). Returning to the head of the Kilbo Path, the route continues over the high ground to reach the Munro Mayar (928m). The walk then descends through Corrie Fee NNR back into the forest for the return to Glen Doll.

 

Full hillwalking gear required. Please bring a packed lunch.
