About the walk: This route follows the north shore of Loch Lee, crosses the Water of Lee and then reaches the Falls of Unich. A steep climb on a rough path takes the walkers past an interesting outcrop of mica schist on the way to the Falls of Damff and then on to Cairn Lick from where there are extensive views over Loch Lee and down Glen Esk. A Land Rover track is followed to Inchgrundle, at one point overlooking the inky black waters of Carlochy. We retrace our footsteps along the side of Loch Lee with a short stop at the ruins of Loch Lee Church and Invermark Castle, both of which are of great historical interest.

Full hillwalking gear required. Please bring a packed lunch.
